Apple TV+ New thriller U.S. series “Severance” was created by Dan Erickson and co-directed by Ben Stiller and Aoife McArdle. Erickson had an office job before writing the show, stating in an interview, “The initial ideas came to me while I was working a really bad office job and going through a somewhat depressive state.” Erickson is close with his siblings, stating they were inspirations for some of the characters on the show.
The story is set in a company called Lumon, and describes Mark, including a number of employees involved in a new program called “Severance”, through surgery to separate the memory of work and private life, that is, at work, can not remember anything about family life, and at home, will not remember anything that happened at work.
This daring experiment comes under question when Mark finds himself at the center of a mystery that will force him to confront the true face of his work …… and the nature of himself.
The role of Mark is played by “Beautiful Mind” actor Adam. The rest of the cast includes Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, John Turturro, and Patricia Arquette.
Severance premiered on Apple TV+ on February 18, 2022. The series received 14 nominations at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards including Outstanding Drama Series and acting nods for Scott, Turturro, Walken, and Arquette (winning for Main Title Design and score). Finally it won 2 awards: Outstanding Main Title Design and Outstanding Music Composition For A Series (Original Dramatic Score).
In April 2022, the series was renewed for a second season. Season two of Severance will likely be far more dramatic than the first, with the season one finale blowing a massive hole in the lives of the Core Office Four.
For Helly, she has sabotaged a massive business event which was meant to be in support of the severance procedure, discovering her father Mr Eagan is a major player at Lumon. As a result, there may be hell to pay for her innie, or a lot of work for her outie to cover up what happened.

Irving makes an intriguing discovery at work. Helly aggressively pursues a meeting with her Quite. Mark grapples with the loss of his wife.

Irving and Dylan confront Burt. The team ventures out into the hallways.
Episode 6 Hide and Seek
The team angers Cobel by forming an alliance.
Episode 7 Defiant Jazz
Mark and the team encounter new security measures from Cobel.
Episode 8 What’s for Dinner?
The team prepares a plan. Mark attends Devon and Ricken’s party.
Episode 9 The We We Are
Season finale. The team discovers troubling revelations.
