Bridgerton debuted on Netflix on December 25, 2020. With a viewership of 82 million households, it became the most-watched series on Netflix at the time of its premiere, and remains the second most-watched series by total watch time on the platform. The series reached number one in 76 countries on Netflix. It tells the love story of a young man in early 19th century British high society, based on Julia Quinn's Bridgerton series of novels.

One review described it accurately, Bridgerton is the combination of Pride and Prejudice and Gossip Girl.

The story is based on a mysterious gossip queen in the aristocratic circle as a clue, stringing together a bunch of high society aristocratic boys and aristocratic girls seeking a spouse. The story focuses mainly on the Bridgerton family. In the original series of novels, each of the eight novels featuring one of the eight siblings of the Bridgerton family will be their love story.

Season two of Bridgerton, the Regency-set period romance from Netflix and Shondaland will return on March 25. Netflix has released a trailer for the new season, which tells the story of Lord Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), the eldest Bridgerton sibling and viscount, as he sets out to find a suitable wife.
